Private, unindexed, paywalled, blocked, deleted, newly published, image-only, audio, video, offline and dark-web material may not be covered. Coverage also varies by country, language, identifier and provider licence.

A clean screen, no finding or an unknown result does not mean your information is absent or safe.

Matching is probabilistic and may produce false positives or miss genuine exposure. Names, addresses and other identifiers may belong to several people. A title, snippet, masked value or source association can be stale or misleading.

A WebVigilante finding is a lead for your review. It is not proof of identity, publication, wrongdoing, legal liability, fraud or risk. Do not accuse, contact, report or take consequential action against a person based only on an automated finding.

WebVigilante does not control the source that published information. A source may refuse a request, request verification, rely on a lawful basis, move the content, republish it or remain unreachable. A search engine may retain a cached or indexed copy after the source changes.

"Request prepared" or "request sent" means only that the stated workflow step occurred. It does not mean the source accepted the request. "No longer found" means the checked evidence was not found under the verification conditions; it does not prove universal or permanent erasure. "Unreachable or unknown" must never be interpreted as removal.

WebVigilante provides information and workflow support. It is not legal advice, a law firm, cybersecurity incident response, antivirus, insurance, credit monitoring, medical advice, law enforcement or an emergency service.

Third parties are responsible for their own content, security, availability, privacy practices and response to requests.

Monitoring and guidance can reduce uncertainty and help organise action, but cannot guarantee prevention of identity theft, impersonation, harassment, discrimination, account takeover, unwanted contact, reputational harm, physical harm or financial loss.
